We have been using Oriental Magic for all of our family Chinese Takeaways for a few years. We have a very large family with some orders reaching as many as 20+ different dishes. Last Saturday, they took our order as usual and as ever, when I arrived to collect it was just being boxed up. When arriving at home and starting the meal, we were surprised to find that some pancakes were missing from the Crispy Duck on the order. We were fortunate that we had some in our freezer, which we quickly thawed and used.
Two points stand out about this;-
1. In the 2 - 3 years which we've been ordering from them, this is the first mistake which they've made on some very large orders.
2. No sooner had we started our meal, I received a call from them telling me that the chef had noticed they had not boxed the pancakes up and they offered to deliver them immediately. Fortunately, this wasn't necessary.
Mistakes happen, but I wonder how many takeaways would have this level of honesty and service?
Just as a P.S. we always receive free fortune cookies and prawn crackers and an occasional extra starter to try. They remain our favourite takeaway. Thank You.
